Bookkeeping: With over twenty years general bookkeeping and accounting experience, I am well versed in the importance and accuracy needed in this business. Whether your situation is working as a self-employed proprietorship, a partnership, or other business entity, I can assist you with everything you need between starting up, maintaining ongoing operations and resolving or closing the books. I pride myself on either setting up your unique, streamlined bookkeeping needs from scratch, refining an existing system to better service your business, or simply working efficiency within an already existing system. Call me and lets discuss your bookkeeping needs, your timeframe and my overall pricing. I provide accounts setup, reconciliations, payroll, document preparation along with other general office skillsets. I look forward to hearing from you.
QuickBooks: Experience has shown me that any successful business has a customized chart of accounts to match that business, which streamlines the weekly, monthly, quarterly or monthly accounting needed to keep track of expenses and revenue. I really enjoy helping set up Quickbooks accounting systems for individuals, start-up businesses and beginning non-profits as I understand what a burden this can be in terms of learning curve and technicalities. I can assist and train you to take control of Quickbooks and minimize the necessary time and steps required to effectively work with it. Because I understand it well, I make it easy as I can for the business owner to grasp and take over after training. I also remain available for consultations for changes and updates, so you’ll never be left out in the cold (so to speak). Quickbooks is a wonderful piece of software, and I’ll do everything I can to teach you what you need to know.
Grantwriting: Successful grant writing requires attention to detail and directions like few other written documents. I’ve been involved is preparing successful grants for over fifteen years, having written dozens of grant requests. First I read the directions for the grant submission, note the deadline, then begin by defining the project or organization in easy to understand terms and then by extension describe why the award should be given to your request. I also understand the subtleties of submitting grants - attractive layout, overall readability within the grant guidelines (there are all different), logical step by step reasoning presenting an argument and finally closing with a concise statement for the grantors to keep in mind after reading. Grants are a two sided equation, meaning not only is the writer seeking a grant, but a grant writer is also describing what benefit the donors will receive when funding a certain project or organization. Consider my grant writing skills and talents and how I can assist you in not just writing a grant, but also receiving one!!
